Episode 1 First Meeting: The Red Suit Moment

In Episode 1, as the nation’s prominent figures gather to celebrate the king’s birthday, chaebol heiress Seong Hui Ju makes her first-ever entrance into the royal palace. Determined to leave an impression, she breaks a royal taboo — that red is not worn in the palace — and arrives in a bold red suit, instantly drawing everyone’s attention including that of Grand Prince Ian.

She has everything but status, whereas he has nothing but status — and their crossing paths at the Imperial Birthday Banquet sets the entire series into motion.

It’s a meet-cute wrapped in royal politics, class tension, and a very intentional fashion statement. As Wikipedia explains, the show is set in an alternate 21st-century Korea governed by a constitutional monarchy — a fresh premise that gives the classic K-drama contract marriage story a stylish modern twist.
