A Historic 2nd Monday — And What Comes Next

Let’s put Monday’s number in context. This ranks as the second-highest 2nd Monday of all time in Hindi cinema, trailing only its predecessor, Dhurandhar, which had posted an extraordinary Rs. 29 crore nett — though that film benefited from a slower start and genuinely took off in its second week.

The sequel, by contrast, shattered opening records from Day 1, and is now settling into a more conventional multiplex pattern. The full second week is projected at around Rs. 220–225 crore nett, which would take its total collections just short of the Rs. 800 crore nett mark.

Can It Cross ₹1000 Crore?

This is the question on every Bollywood fan’s mind. The road to Rs. 1000 crore nett (Hindi only) is slightly more challenging now, but the film benefits from an additional open week due to the postponement of Bhooth Bangla, along with multiple holidays across the next fortnight — both of which should meaningfully aid its continued run.

The ₹1000 crore milestone in Hindi alone would be historic territory. It’s tough — but this film has surprised everyone every step of the way.
