2nd Prize — Popsicle Merger for Frost, a rogue-like survival game set on a post-apocalyptic Earth where collaboration and community are the keys to survival.

3rd Prize — AmongUs for Open Waters, a 4-player co-op where players work together to defend their ship while learning about empathy, combatting loneliness, and navigating online risks like scams and misinformation.

Why This Matters for India’s Gaming Ecosystem

This game jam signals something bigger than a student competition. Angad Singh Malik, Chapter Lead at Games for Change India, noted that what stood out wasn’t just the talent on display — it was the intent behind it, with participants treating the brief as a genuine real-world problem rather than an abstract exercise.

Daniel Haun, Senior Manager for Civility & Partnerships at Roblox, highlighted that the games created demonstrate how young developers can build digital spaces that prioritise safety, wellbeing, and positive social interaction. The event is part of a broader year-round calendar Games for Change India is developing across the country, aimed at building pathways for socially relevant and impact-driven gaming experiences.
