Cocktail 2 Official Release Date Confirmed: Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna & Kriti Sanon’s film will hit on March 18!

Bollywood just dropped a bombshell — and if you’re a fan of bold, glamorous rom-coms, this one’s for you. Cocktail 2, one of the most anticipated films of 2026, finally has an official release date and a first look strategy that’s as theatrical as the film itself. Let’s break it all down.

Cocktail 2: Release Date & First Look Reveal

Maddock Films has officially announced that Cocktail 2 will release on June 19, 2026, alongside a new poster featuring a blurred glimpse of Kriti Sanon. India TV News But here’s the exciting twist — the makers have promised that the film’s first look will be released exclusively in theatres on March 18, attached to the paid preview screenings of Dhurandhar 2. That’s a smart, cinematic move. Fans wanting to be among the first to catch a glimpse will have to head to the big screen — building buzz the old-school Bollywood way.

Cocktail 2: Everything You Need to Know

A Spiritual Sequel, Not a Carbon Copy

Many fans wondered if Cocktail 2 was just cashing in on nostalgia. Kriti Sanon shut that down quickly. She explained that while it’s a sequel, it’s more of a “vibe sequel” — the story, characters, and backstories are completely different; everything is new except for the spirit of Cocktail and the returning creative team of Maddock Films and director Homi Adajania.

That’s reassuring. The original Cocktail (2012) was a turning point for Deepika Padukone and became a cult favourite for its raw, unconventional take on love and friendship. The sequel promises a similarly bold narrative — with reports suggesting a fresh take on modern relationships, including a potentially groundbreaking romantic angle between the leads.

The Dream Team Behind the Camera

Director Homi Adajania, who helmed the original Cocktail in 2012, confirmed the shoot wrap in January 2026 via Instagram, calling the film “a tad special” with “big love” to the cast and crew. Producer Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films continues its streak of delivering content-driven Bollywood hits.

Apart from the three leads, Cocktail 2 also features Arjun Rampal, Dimple Kapadia, and Rohit Saraf in key roles. That’s a seriously stacked ensemble.
