Yet here we are — the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Ultra with the Intel Core Ultra 7 356H is doing exactly that, matching and in some cases surpassing the older Core Ultra 9 285H, all while lasting nearly a full day on a single charge.

How Is a Core Ultra 7 Beating the Ultra 9 285H?

Intel’s new Panther Lake architecture is the story here. The Core Ultra 7 356H delivers over twice the multithreaded performance of previous Lunar Lake processors in encoding tests, making generational comparisons almost redundant. The efficiency gains are so dramatic that the 356H punches well above its class, surpassing the older flagship 285H in sustained workloads — something that simply wasn’t possible before this architectural leap.

That performance doesn’t come at the cost of battery. The testing clocked the Galaxy Book6 Ultra at 25.7 hours on average in a video rundown test — impressive for an x86 machine with Nvidia RTX graphics hardware.

Samsung promises super-fast charging that restores up to 63% in 30 minutes, meaning real-world anxiety about battery is essentially gone. The two-fan cooling system keeps things composed too, with surface temperatures peaking at just 92°F between the keys during prolonged Cinebench stress testing.
