AA23 (LK07) — Key Details at a Glance

Where Does the Script Stand Right Now?

Here’s the thing — Lokesh Kanagaraj did narrate an outline of the story to Allu Arjun, and reportedly the Icon Star was genuinely impressed. But the full bound screenplay? That’s still being written.

According to online buzz from Movies Singapore, Lokesh is currently working on the complete script alongside his trusted writing team — co-writers Chandru Anbazhagan and Rathna Kumar, along with other key assistant directors. The director has reportedly retreated to Kerala to focus on the writing process and is expected to stay there until around March 3, 2026. Once the script is locked, a final formal narration will be held with Allu Arjun.

This kind of meticulous approach to screenwriting — crafting a full bound script before production begins — is very much Lokesh’s signature style, and given the scale of this collaboration, it makes complete sense.

Chandru Anbazhagan previously worked with Lokesh on Maanagaram and Coolie, while Rathna Kumar was part of both Leo and Master. So the team behind AA23 is thoroughly battle-tested.

What the Film Promises

The announcement teaser already set the tone — stylish, Western-influenced, and unmistakably “Lokesh Universe.” Allu Arjun’s silver kada is a signature visual element that appears across Lokesh’s interconnected cinematic world, hinting that AA23 may be part of it.

Anirudh Ravichander handles the music, marking his first collaboration with Allu Arjun. The 23 Theme from the teaser has already racked up massive streaming numbers.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is also occupied with the Atlee directorial AA22xA6, starring Deepika Padukone, with Rashmika Mandanna reportedly playing a negative role.
