Lenovo has introduced a lot of new laptops last year with AMD Ryzen 4000 series mobile processors in 2021 it seems Lenovo isn’t stopping as it is bringing more new models with the latest new Ryzen 5000U mobile processors.
The new Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro Gen 6 or Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro 16 or Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 16 (in China) has been announced at CES 2021. Obviously, this is a thin and light notebook with up to 16-inch 2.5K (2560 x 1440) display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 350 nits of peak brightness and covering 100% sRGB or 72% NTSC colour gamut.
Even though it’s a thin and light laptop, it will be equipped up with an 8 core, 16 threaded AMD Ryzen 9 5900H processor. Although it is told that it will be powered by NVIDIA discrete graphics but which exact GPU, has still not been disclosed but ITHome thinks this could be the unreleased RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti.
The laptop is paired with up to 16GB DDR4 and 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD, still giving you a respectable 12 hours of video playback. Featuring 2 x 2W speakers with Dolby Atmos, you get both WiFi 6 2×2 ax/ac/a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 5.1 for connectivity.
Overall, this is a dream laptop if you are a productivity centric person who needs a laptop for long work, casual entertainment and even plays games on the same thin & light notebook. At CES 2021, it was announced that the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro 16 will be available in May 2021, starting at $1,149.99.
However, the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 16 thin and light notebook has recently been teased by Lenovo’ Weibo account today raises new speculation of its early launch in its home country.
