Gagan Arora is the current General Manager of Vivo in India and he has dropped a major hint about the new smartphone coming from the house of iQOO which is iQOO 7. He has teased about the potential launch of the new device on the social media platform Twitter.Â
You can find the intriguing tweet below. ‘2.64575131106’ is mentioned in his tweet and interestingly this is the square root of the number 7. Thus, a major hint to the imminent launch of iQOO 7 in India. Last year in February, iQOO made its debut in the Indian market with its handset iQOO 3.
The iQOO 7 is already launched in the company’s homeland China three months back. It came as a successor to the iQOO 5 handset. You can find the specifications and price of this potential upcoming smartphone below.

The iQOO 7 sports a big 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a punch hole at the center of the device. It also a faster refresh rate of 120Hz and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and runs on OriginOS based on the Android 11 OS.Â
The mobile processor is coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS3.1 storage and has an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. It draws energy from a 4,000mAh battery cell and supports 120W fast-charging. Talking about the optics, the device features a triple-camera setup at the back.
This includes a 48MP primary camera and a couple of 13MP sensors. You might also spot a 16MP snapper for selfies at the front. The price of this device in China is RMB 3,798 which is approximately Rs 43,000 for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model.
The 12GB + 256GB variant will cost you RMB 4,198 or approximately Rs 47,600. The smartphone is present in three colours which are Blackland, Latent Blue, and Legendary edition colour options. Let’s wait for official notification of the release after this big teaser.
