This week brings a diverse slate to theaters — from gritty crime dramas to slasher horror and a genre-bending music experience. Here’s a quick rundown of every film hitting screens.

Hollywood Releases This Week

1. Splash City

Set in the Bay Area, this crime drama follows two brothers, Ju and Slim, navigating drastically different paths — one chasing a future through basketball, the other pulled into San Francisco’s underground scene.

2. Sia: Nostalgic for the Present

Less a film and more a visual concert experience, this genre-defying feature trades traditional narrative for pure artistry — showcasing Sia’s iconic vocals and choreography set to her greatest hits.

3. Bad Counselors

Details on this release are still limited, but it’s slated for the same July 23 release window as Sia’s concert film.

4. Her Private Hell

A sci-fi horror thriller from director Nicolas Winding Refn, following a young woman searching for her father as a mysterious, deadly mist engulfs the city.

5. Motor City

Set in 1970s Detroit, Alan Ritchson stars as an innocent man framed by a local gangster and sent to prison. After his release, he embarks on a near-wordless revenge mission against the man who destroyed his life.

6. Haunted Heist

A horror comedy where four estranged friends reunite to pull off a $20 million heist at a mansion — only to discover the house is genuinely haunted.

7. Pinocchio: Unstrung

A dark slasher twist on the classic tale, following a living wooden puppet who, manipulated by a sinister Cricket, goes on a violent, gory quest to become a real boy.

8. Cruel Hands

A survival thriller set during Australia’s worst bushfires, following a mother and her young son hiding from her husband in an abandoned farmhouse while emergency crews race to find them.
