Valentina and the 12 Signs: Netflix Release Date, Cast and Plot

Ever blamed a breakup on the stars? Valentina does, and she takes it a step further. Netflix’s new Brazilian romantic comedy follows a heartbroken young woman who treats her ex’s betrayal as astrological incompatibility. Her revenge plan is methodical, and it’s pure binge-worthy chaos. If you’re an astrology fan, this one is for you.

Valentina and the 12 Signs: Overview

What Is the Plot?

After being betrayed by her boyfriend, Valentina decides to go on a date with one guy from each zodiac sign. She plans to share a detailed tell-all of every date on a livestream. On paper, the plan is perfect. Then she falls for someone with no astrological sign, a twist even the horoscope couldn’t predict.

The concept is part revenge story and part love letter to horoscope culture, with a heart-led twist that suggests romance doesn’t always follow a chart. Because it is adapted from a novel, fans of the book will get to see how the story translates to screen.

Giovanna Grigio leads the series. She is known to Netflix viewers from the teen drama Rebelde, where she played Emília Alo, and she has also appeared in Young Hearts and As Five.

The supporting cast includes Jessica Marques, Manu Morelli, Larissa Bocchino, Lucas Leto, Pedro Ottoni, Suzana Pires, Ana Hikari and José Condessa. Author Ray Tavares co-wrote the script with Bia Crespo, and Tiago Mello produces for Boutique Filmes.
