2024 TVS Jupiter Launched: New Design, Upgraded Engine, and Modern Features to Challenge Honda Activa

The new generation of Jupiter, a popular model from TVS Motor in the scooter and two-wheeler industry is now revealed. The 2024 TVS Jupiter will have a positive effect on India’s scooter industry because it comes with a modern design and lots of advanced features. The new Jupiter is priced at ₹73,700 (Ex-showroom) and comes in several colours including the launch-exclusive Dawn Blue Matte.

The All New 2024 TVS Jupiter

While TVS is taking on the segment leader, Honda Activa with a fight, the updated Jupiter gets a new design but retains its traditional scooter looks. The new design includes sharper new headlights, a more stylish front apron adding gloss black treatment, and sophisticated LED DRLs with integrated turn indicators. Some sharp creases and folds along the side of the car give it an angular look we find very easy to like, while out back, these lights get a neat new full-LED treatment.

Top-spec variants of the 2024 Jupiter get a long seat with dual-tone stitching, alloy wheels, front disc brake setup, and a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity as well as turn-by-turn navigation. Practicality is high on the list with a leading flat floorboard storing a fuel tank, forward-set gas filler cap, USB charger pocket, and roomy under-seat space that will hold two half-face helmets.

The new Jupiter is powered by a 113.3 cc engine, an upgrade from the previous 109.7 cc unit. This new engine, derived from the Jupiter 125 block, includes micro-hybrid tech with electric assist, offering a peak power of around 8 bhp and torque of up to 9.8 Nm. The engine achieves peak power at 6,500 RPM and peak torque at 5,000 RPM. Enhanced with iGO assist technology, Jupiter promises quicker acceleration, improved torque, and best-in-class fuel efficiency.

The 2024 TVS Jupiter is a clear answer to the replacement of its predecessor and will continue locking horns with its arch-rival, Honda Activa. It should be interesting to see, with its new features, engine, and platform whether it can bring TVS a bigger share of the scooter segment.
