First Glimpse: 2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Spotted in India

After various photographs of the Kia Seltos facelift were captured, spy shots of the Hyundai Creta facelift have now emerged in India for the first time. This is significant because the facelifted Creta model designed specifically for India has not been seen in the country before.

Unlike the Creta facelift inspired by Tucson, which is available in several ASEAN countries, India will receive a completely new design. The reason for this special version of the Creta for India seems to be its unparalleled popularity. Let’s explore all the new features.

Creta Facelift

The All New 2024 Creta Facelift

The 2024 Creta facelift has been spotted in India, whereas previous sightings were in South Korea. The test vehicles are equipped with 18″ alloy wheels from the Alcazar model, indicating that the final production model will likely feature the same wheels. Hyundai may be fine-tuning the suspension and other drivetrain components to optimize their performance with the 18″ alloys.

The new Creta facelift showcases a fresh front design that distinguishes it from the outgoing model’s Santa Fe-inspired and Tucson-inspired designs. Since its introduction, the Creta has consistently featured a design reminiscent of the Santa Fe from that particular era, and this model is currently sold in markets such as India and Brazil. However, some ASEAN markets have a Creta with a design influenced by Tucson.

The spied 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift in India exhibits a front-end reminiscent of the Palisade, with prominent vertical headlights. Although the LED daytime running lights (DRLs) do not have a vertical orientation like the Palisade, they possess a unique approach. The presence of a parametric grille and front parking sensors can be deduced from the camouflaged areas. Spy shots from South Korea also reveal the existence of a radar module in the front bumper.

Consequently, it is likely that the Creta will finally be equipped with Hyundai’s SmartSense ADAS suite, similar to the Verna and Tucson. The rear of the vehicle is also camouflaged, suggesting a redesigned tailgate, and the possibility of new LED tail lights with a connected design similar to the Venue. The LED signature of the tail lights will differ from the outgoing model as well.

The current Creta already offers a comprehensive range of features, and with this latest update, Hyundai has added additional amenities such as 3-point seatbelts, adjustable headrests, 60:40 split rear seats, and 2-step reclinable rear seats, among others. Notable features include a panoramic sunroof, rear window shades, rear AC vents, electrically-adjustable front seats, front seat ventilation, a large infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, and LED lighting.

The engines available in the facelifted Creta will remain largely unchanged, with the same 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine (113 bhp, 144 Nm, 6MT) and 1.5L diesel engine (113 bhp, 250 Nm, 6MT, 6TC). However, the previous 1.4L turbo petrol engine will be replaced by a 1.5L turbo petrol engine (158 bhp, 253 Nm). The launch of the facelifted Creta is expected early next year.
