Maximo Perrone to sign for Manchester City until 2028 very soon

Manchester City are set to complete the signing of Máximo Perrone from Argentine club Velez Sarsfield. The reported transfer fee for him is around €11 million, which is a little above his €8 million release clause. 

The formalities surrounding the move have been completed, and the contracts have been signed. The transfer has been given the here we go signal by Fabrizio Romano, and it is only a matter of time before his arrival is made official by City. 

Maximo Perrone to sign for Manchester City imminently 

The 20-year-old will sign a contract with City until June 2028, and the defensive midfielder is expected to be a part of their future project. 

He is one of the most valuable players in Argentina, with a market value of €8.5 million. Moreover, he was vital to Velez’s game plan last season, making 33 appearances. He also became the captain of the club, despite being relatively young, and is now set for a new challenge.

There are rumours that Maximo Perrone could be loaned out to Manchester City’s sister club, New York City FC in the MLS before switching over to the Premier League. He will become the second Argentinian to sign for the club in back-to-back years, following Julian Alvarez, who has had a very good time in Sky Blue so far. 

City have been signing young players quite actively in recent years, and Perrone will soon become the latest to join the list once his arrival is announced.
