Spider-Man has finally entered Fortnite Chapter 3, and players have been impressed by how easily he swings around with his webs.
This past weekend, the game’s transition to Chapter 3, Season 1 saw the introduction of the friendly neighbourhood superhero. New Spider-Man-specific features have been incorporated, allowing players to slide and even swing to mimic Spider-actions. Man’s
As seen in the video below, Peter Parker’s webs adhere to buildings rather than simply attaching to some nebulous location in the air, creating a more realistic picture of traversal. There’s a genuine sensation of height here, which adds to the exhilaration of web-swinging.
Furthermore, the momentum and direction with which he swings look fantastic. He can even imitate web surfing by firing a web behind a car and allowing it to drive away, pushing him forward. Because web-slinging is so popular, starting on December 11, any character, regardless of whether or not they have the Spider-Man skin, will be allowed to do so.
The portrayal of Spider-Man in Fortnite has been likened to recent games like Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers. Especially when the latter’s Spider-Man appears to have a shaky web traversal.

Now comes Fornite as the third challenger, and it appears that the game’s rendition of the web-slinging hero has been well received.
It’s also worth noting that this is likely the only opportunity for Xbox or PC players to play as Spider-Man in a modern game, as both Insomniac’s game and the Spider-Man material in Marvel’s Avengers are limited to Sony’s platform.
