Internet is filled with many rumors and leaks and according to recent rumors we now have the Intel Alder Lake-S Desktop CPU entry which features 16 cores and 24 threads which are spotted over at UserBenchmark by TUM_APISAK.
The entry listing states about the entry early Core i9 variant and states that it’s its performance matches most of the existing high-end Core i9 chips from Intel. The sample which was tested was an Intel Alder Lake-S Desktop CPU featuring 16 cores & 24 threads. The chips house 8 Golden Cove cores (8 Core / 16 Thread) and 8 Gracemont cores (8 Core / 8 Thread) and also reportedly rocked 30 MB of the L3 cache.
The specifications of the CPU include that the clock speeds were rated at 3.05 GHz so it means that the card was the i9-12900KES variant or another Core i9 SKU (Core i9-12900) variant.
The card also sported the base clock of (1.8 GHz) and boost clock of (3.05 GHz) which are relatively low compared to the existing Rocket Lake CPUs which boost beyond 5.0 GHz but that is to be expected from early samples.

Intel also announced that the Alder Lake-S Desktop QS samples will be out soon and the also that the performance of the chip at the single-core score is reported at 112 points and the multi-core score is reported at 1724 points.
When compared with the Core i9-11900K, the Intel Alder Lake-S Core i9 ES CPU scores the same rank in the multi-core score but falls behind in the single-core tests. And when compared to the Core i9-10900Kit manages to secure the same marks in the single-core tests but the Alder Lake chip is beaten in multi-core tests.
