As it was said, the first gameplay trailer for the new expansion of Sea of Thieves – A Pirate’s Life has arrived now, which shows more of the crossover with Disney’s series – Pirate of the Caribbean.

The gameplay trailer features Davy Jones, the beloved and renowned Captain Jack Sparrow, along with other familiar characters from Disney’s franchise inside Sea of Thieves. We have also got some glimpses of few new locations that you are gonna explore and some new melee combat from the game.

Meanwhile, Rare has announced a special showcase for A Pirate’s Life which gonna be held on this Sunday, June 20. In that showcase, it will show a deep dive look at the new expansion. The developers from Rare will be talking about their work on the series, while people from Disney will also be present to explain the partnership came to be in the first place. The event will start at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET on June 20.

Coming to the storyline of A Pirate’s Life, you are on a mission to set Captain Jack Sparrow free from prison so he can go after some valuable treasures. Sparrow’s big rival, Davy Jones comes to hunt him down. According to developer Rare, Davy Jones and Jack Sparrow are “more than cameo appearances” in the expansion, so you will get to see a lot of them.

Rare is also developing a new IP called Everwild, but there was nothing about this new IP at E3. According to VGC, that might be due to how it was said to have been rebooted recently. A Pirate’s Life is going to release on June 22 as a free expansion to Sea of Thieves on PC and console.
