PSG President says Mbappe is not for sale

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has made a bold statement saying that Kylian Mbappe is not going to leave the French capital under any circumstance.

The French superstar and world champion Kylian Mbappe is now in the last year of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and although renewal talks are going on, no agreement over a new contract has been reached yet.

Kylian Mbappe, is just 22 and is considered one of the top forwards of this generation and still has a long future ahead. The Frenchman has been the Ligue-1 top scorer now for consecutive 3 seasons in a row now and was also name Ligue-1 Player of the year this season.

He has scored 131 goals and provided 79 assists in 171 for PSG yet, one can only imagine what more is to come yet in the coming days given he extends his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG are keen to sign a long term contract with Kylian Mbappe extending his stay at the French capital until 2026.

The President of PSG has stated “I’ll be clear, Kylian is going to stay with PSG. We’re never going to sell him and he’ll never leave for free. I never give details to the media about ongoing negotiations. All I can say it that it’s progressing well. I hope we’ll find common ground.”

“Where can he go? What club, in terms of ambition, can compete with PSG today?”

“All I can say is that things are going well, and I hope we can reach an agreement [on a new contract]. This is Paris, this is his country. He has a mission, not only to play football, but to promote Ligue 1, his country and his capital.”

However, rumours linking Mbappe with a move to Real Madrid has surfaced for quite a while now.

Only time will tell what decision does the French superstar makes regarding his future.
