Xiaomi Mi 11 series confirmed to have the latest Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection

Xiaomi is about to launch its upcoming flagship lineup, the Xiaomi Mi 11 series. This series is likely to have two models: Mi 11 and the Mi 11 Pro. Recently, the company has been confirming several features of the upcoming Mi 11 through Weibo. But today the company has teased some features regarding the display of this upcoming device.

According to Weibo, the company confirmed that the display Xiaomi Mi 11 comes with the latest Corning, Gorilla Glass Victus. This latest Gorilla Glass version is a successor of the Gorilla Glass 6, which released in July.

The company says, that this Gorilla Glass Victus has 2x improve scratch resistance than its predecessor Gorilla Glass 6. It can resist scratch up to 4 times better than its predecessor. Apart from this, the latest Gorilla Glass has 1.5x better drop resistance capacity. The glass also has a capacity to retain structural integrity as long as it dropped on surfaces up to 2m in height.

The company has also shared a video through its Weibo account, which reveals that this Gorilla Glass Victus can tolerate the pressure up to 100Kg. Apart from this glass, the company has already confirmed that the flagship Xiaomi Mi 11 comes with advanced display technology.

According to the recent leak, the Xiaomi Mi 11 will unveil in Q1 2021. This series of smartphones are going to be the World’s first smartphones with Snapdragon 888 chipset and will run on MIUI 12.0 based on Android 11 out of the box. The SoC of these smartphones will be paired with faster LPDDR5 RAM up to 12 GB.
