Sergio Ramos is one of the most dominating defenders on the pitch. He is a leader who leads from the front! A defenders job is to defend, in that area, Ramos isn’t far behind from anyone. He is one of the top defenders in the world. Along with defending, if a defender can score goals at will then it’s a bonus. Not many defenders can boast Ramos’ goalscoring ability.

The Real Madrid captain has won every trophy on offer at both club and international level. Starting from the Champions League to the World Cup, he has won them all.

On Sunday, Ramos’ Spain took on Ukraine in the UEFA Nations League. Despite being a defender he scored two goals, one from the penalty spot and another with his trademark header.

With the 2 goals last night, Ramos has now equalled Alfredo di Stefano’s goal tally for Spain. Despite being a defender, he is the eighth all-time highest goalscorer for Spain with 23 goals.

Even at 34 years of age, Ramos is hoping to take his goal tally for Spain to around 30 goals, in order to be in the top 5 highest goalscorers of all time for Spain.

Love him or hate him, you can’t deny Sergio Ramos is one of the best!
