Asus TUF Gaming A17 laptop now available on Flipkart for ₹72,990

Promised to arrive in mid-June on Flipkart, the Taiwanese OEM has taken a lot of time in making its one of the most successful gaming laptop series currently in the world now, available in India. The TUF Gaming A15 laptop has already disrupted the gaming laptop market in India with the beastly AMD Ryzen 4000H processors now its time for its brother.

There’s not much difference between the TUF A15 and A17 gaming laptops, the major difference being the TUF Gaming A15 features a 15.6-inch display with up to 144Hz refresh rate while the TUF Gaming A17 comes with a bigger 17.3-inch panel with up to 120Hz refresh rate.

The ASUS TUF Gaming A17 can be configured up to 6GB of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660Ti discrete graphics. This can be paired with up to 32GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, and for storage, up to 1TB 5400RPM SATA HDD, along with up to 1TB PCIe Gen3 SSD options. Asus gives easy RAM and storage upgrade options as well and there’s up to 2 SSD slot for expansion as well.

The laptops come with Gigabit Wave 2 Wi-Fi 5 for connectivity and its dual fans with self-cleaning anti-dust technology to extend system longevity. For ports you get 1 x USB 3.2 (2nd Gen) Type C, 1 x USB 2.0 Type A, 2 x USB 3.2 (1st Gen) Type-A and 1 x HDMI Port (v2.0b) port.

You can connect an external monitor for multitasking via the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with G-SYNC enabled DisplayPort 1.4, and play 4K Ultra HD movies, videos, and games on big-screen TVs with HDMI 2.0b.

According to Asus, the laptops feature two upgraded speakers with four cut-outs pump out 1.8x more sound with 2.7x deeper bass than its predecessor. The three heatsinks on the sides of the laptop keep it cool while prolonged gaming sessions, also you can upgrade your laptop’s RAM and SSD as it has a simplified easy-upgrade design.

Sadly outside India, Asus has upgraded these laptops to a whopping 90WHr battery which gives nearly double the battery life over previous versions. But, in India, the variants come with lower 48Wh battery which should only last up to 4-5 hours on a single charge. The Asus TUF Gaming A17 with Fortress Grey colour variant starts at Rs. 60,990.
