One of our most favourite games of all time will genuinely be the Crysis series and it seems the game is going to make headway again. A few days ago, there were rumours regarding a new Crysis title, as a lot of twitter users was suddenly revived with a few cryptic tweets.
Some speculated this to be a new Crysis or some thought this to be a remastered version of the first Crysis. The official Crysis.com page has got updated with some new info regarding their upcoming remastered title.
Even though the info was leaked accidentally and was taken down very fast, thanks to Twitter users like RobotBrush who managed to snap some pictures which helps gives what the remastered versio will be like.
The Crysis Remastered will bring some new graphic features, high-quality textures and the native hardware / API-agnostic Ray Tracing solution which has newly been implemented into Cryengine. The game will be available for all platforms including PC, PlayStation, Xbox and, for the first time, on Nintendo Switch as well.
In a press release there are some more info about the upcoming game:
“We are excited to be working on the Crysis franchise again, and to bring all the Crysis fans a remaster worthy of their passion for the game,” said Crytek CEO Avni Yerli.
Crysis Remastered will focus on the original game’s single-player campaigns and is slated to contain high-quality textures and improved art assets, an HD texture pack, temporal anti-aliasing, SSDO, SVOGI, state-of-the-art depth fields, new light settings, motion blur, and parallax occlusion mapping, particle effects will also be added where applicable.
In Crysis 1, what begins as a simple rescue mission becomes the battleground of a new war as alien invaders swarm over a North Korean island chain. Armed with a powerful Nanosuit, players can become invisible to stalk enemy patrols, or boost strength to lay waste to vehicles.
