12 Big Hollywood Drops This Week: Nolan’s “The Odyssey” Leads a Stacked July Lineup

Hollywood just handed movie lovers a genuinely stacked week. From Christopher Nolan’s mythological epic hitting theaters to a fresh wave of streaming thrillers and comedies, July 13–19, 2026 is shaping up to be one of the busier release windows of the summer.

Leading the charge is “The Odyssey,” Nolan’s ambitious adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek epic, releasing July 17. The star-studded cast includes Matt Damon as King Odysseus, alongside Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron. The film follows Odysseus’ decade-long, treacherous voyage home after the Trojan War, racing against arrogant suitors who’ve besieged his kingdom and are demanding his wife Penelope’s hand while he’s away.
