Yoo Ah In’s Agency Era Quietly Comes to a Close After 10 Years

Sometimes the biggest industry shifts happen without fanfare, and that’s exactly what’s unfolding at UAA right now. The agency has confirmed that its exclusive contract with actor Yoo Ah In has officially ended, closing a chapter that began back in 2014. According to an industry insider, Yoo Ah In is reportedly reviewing a move to Galaxy Corporation and is currently in discussions over a new exclusive contract there. UAA, for its part, kept things brief, simply confirming that the contract had “expired quite some time ago.” The actor has remained largely absent from entertainment activities since his drug case surfaced in 2023, making this contract update one of the few public updates tied to his career in recent years.

What makes this particularly notable is the timing. The same day brought news that actor Ryu Jun Yeol is also parting ways with UAA and reportedly exploring a move to Galaxy Corporation. Unlike Yoo Ah In’s situation, UAA confirmed Ryu Jun Yeol’s contract has expired but noted his future plans remain undecided. Adding to the pattern, actress Song Hye Kyo recently exited UAA after a notably long 14-year run with the agency, a kind of long-term agency relationship not uncommon in the structured world of South Korean idol and actor management agencies.

Three major departures from one agency within a short window naturally has fans speculating about what’s next for UAA’s roster. For more breaking K-entertainment news, head to Technosports entertainment.
