Xiaomi India today announced the launch of the Xiaomi 17T smartphone, integrating a Leica-powered imaging system, a high-resolution display, and a substantial battery capacity. The device aims to position itself in the premium segment of the Indian smartphone market.

The Xiaomi 17T introduces a triple camera system co-engineered with Leica. This setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor and, for the first time in Xiaomi’s T Series, a Leica 5x periscope telephoto lens. This telephoto capability is designed to enhance zoom performance and detail capture. The device also features “Leica Live Moment,” which captures sequential imagery leading up to a specific event, and “Leica Live Portrait,” intended to produce images with natural depth.

Display and Visual Comfort

The 17T is equipped with a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, capable of reaching a peak brightness of 3500 nits, which aims to ensure visibility in varied lighting conditions. A 120Hz refresh rate supports fluid motion for tasks like scrolling and gaming.

Xiaomi has also integrated “Xiaomi Vision Care,” an eye-care system designed to automatically adjust display parameters to reduce blue light exposure and visual fatigue. This feature has received TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care Certification, alongside other eye-comfort certifications.

Power and Performance

Powering the device is a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery, intended to provide extended usage. The Xiaomi 17T supports 67W HyperCharge technology, facilitating rapid charging.

The smartphone operates on Xiaomi HyperOS and incorporates advanced cooling technology. It also features intelligent functionalities, including Xiaomi HyperAI, Google Gemini, and Circle to Search with Google, contributing to a comprehensive user experience.

Design and Availability

The Xiaomi 17T features a slim profile with micro-curved edges and is available in Violet, Blue, and Black color options.

The Xiaomi 17T will be available in two configurations:
* 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: ₹59,999
