A few days back a report surfaced that Xiaomi is working on its Band 5 which will be the successor of the Mi Band 4 launched last year. This time Xiaomi is implementing some changes over the previous model and primarily is implementing a larger and color display on the smart band.

The global version will be called Mi Smart Band 5 and get the model number XMSH11HM.

The live images reveal a bigger 1.2″ screen which is a colorful display. The image also reveals the new charger for the fitness smart band, which is now with a “plug-in” type of design. The body does not seem to be as curvy as the Mi Band 4.

More reports claim that there is a SpO2 sensor that can monitor the oxygen level in blood and Personal Activity Intelligence that provides a score to indicates whether the daily workout is enough for the user or not. The Chinese version is said to come with NFC support.

The launch date is not officially revealed but it is said to get a launch date in the month of June.
