Redmi A2 Series: Affordable Entry-Level Smartphones now available

The Redmi A2 series has been introduced by Xiaomi in India. As part of its entry-level smartphone series, the business has released two smartphones. The Redmi A2 is the brand’s most cost-effective smartphone in India. Along with the basic model, Xiaomi has also released the A2+. In Europe, both gadgets were introduced earlier this year. With the same hardware inside, Xiaomi has now introduced the A2 series in India.

The A2 series has specifications for low-cost smartphones. With a fingerprint scanner on the back, the A2+ sets itself apart from the standard model. Let’s check the Redmi A2, and A2+ price, features, and specifications.

All About the Redmi A2 Series

There are several RAM and storage configurations available for the Redmi A2. 32GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM are included in the base model. The cost is ₹5,999. A 2GB+64GB model is also available, and it costs ₹6,499. The pricing is ₹7,499 for the 4GB RAM option with 64GB of storage.

On the other side, the A2+ was introduced with just one storage option. The device offers 64GB of storage space with 4GB RAM. It costs ₹8,499 to purchase. The warranties for both products are 2 years. Starting on May 23, Amazon, Mi, and physical Mi stores will be offering the A2 and A2+.

The A2 and A2+’s 6.52-inch IPS LCD has an HD+ resolution of 1600×720 pixels and other technical details. The front camera display is mounted in a tiny waterdrop notch at the top of the device. The screen has fairly thin bezels and refreshes at a rate of 60 Hz.

The backs of the phones are finished in imitation leather. They were introduced in the colors Sea Green, Aqua Blue, and Classic Black. The smartphones are also believed to have a body that is splash- and scratch-resistant.  Both phones allow dual SIM cards and have a slot specifically for a microSD card. Under the hood of both phones is a MediaTek Helio G36 SoC. They offer 64GB of internal storage and up to 4GB of RAM.

The phones have a dual-camera system on the back. There is a QVGA lens and an 8MP main camera. A 5MP front camera is also included with the A2 series for selfies. In the A2 series, Xiaomi has included a 5000mAh battery. The gadgets support 10W charging. A micro-USB connector and a 3.5mm headphone jack can be found at the bottom. The phones have a stock Android 13 experience, up to 3GB of virtual RAM compatibility, and an FM radio app as well.
