Xiaomi India has announced the launch of JeevikaSaathi+, a women entrepreneurship initiative designed to support over 1,000 women across Udaipur and Jaipur, Rajasthan. The program focuses on skill development, digital learning, and enterprise support to foster sustainable livelihoods and financial independence.

The initiative, implemented in partnership with BharatCares, will provide comprehensive entrepreneurial, financial, and digital training. A total of 750 women are expected to be onboarded, with 500 receiving in-depth training. A core component of JeevikaSaathi+ involves asset-based assistance for 250 women, enabling them to establish or expand their businesses with the goal of achieving long-term income growth.

Xiaomi India- Program Structure and Objectives

JeevikaSaathi+ targets women from underserved communities, aiming to bridge gaps in access to necessary skills, market connections, and resources. The program’s design seeks to transition participants from informal work or nascent business ideas to stable, income-generating enterprises.

Varun Madan, Chief People Officer & Head of Integrated Management at Xiaomi India (https://www.mi.com/global), stated, “At Xiaomi, we believe access creates opportunity. JeevikaSaathi+ is designed to bridge that access gap for women through skills, digital tools, and market linkages so they can build and scale their own businesses. Our goal is to enable sustainable income generation, strengthen grassroots entrepreneurship, and drive more inclusive growth in the communities we serve.”

The curriculum blends on-ground training with digital learning modules. Key areas covered include business planning, financial management, and digital literacy. Participants will also receive continuous mentorship and access to national platforms such as NITI Aayog’s Women Entrepreneurship Platform and the MSME Udyam Sakhi portal. The program intends to guide women in developing structured business plans and launching ventures in sectors such as tailoring, food services, retail, beauty, and small-scale manufacturing.

Collaborative Support and Market Access

The launch event in Udaipur was attended by Shri Mannalal Rawat, Member of Parliament for Udaipur, who highlighted the program’s alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat through equal participation of men and women. Bhomik Shah, Trustee at BharatCares, emphasized the program’s commitment to empowering women with the confidence, networks, and market access essential for sustainable enterprises.

Beyond capability building, Xiaomi India is facilitating market integration for participants. This includes support for e-commerce onboarding, supplier linkages, and assistance with business registrations, banking services, and access to government schemes. This integrated approach is intended to reduce entry barriers, enhance business resilience, and support the scaling of women’s ventures over time.
