With the Ultra flagship of the upcoming year, Xiaomi is reportedly planning to utilize a quad camera with four focal lengths once more. A new primary camera with an enhanced variable aperture is one of the many ways that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is said to outperform the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra camera details
In order to release the 14 and 14 Pro smartphones, which each have three 50 MP cameras, Xiaomi postponed revealing the Ultra member. It will reportedly contain four 50 MP cameras and a primary sensor with a quicker variable aperture range of f/1.6 to f/4.0, according to a recent report.
When it comes to using variable aperture solutions, Xiaomi is not a pioneer. The two-step lens on the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro has an aperture range of f/1.4 to f/4.0. Despite having a somewhat slower f/1.6 stop, the Ultra’s larger sensor more than makes up for it. It will also perform better than the f/1.9 on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
Moreover, the new primary camera will incorporate an improved variable aperture. Although the termination point is expected to be at f/4.0, this will occur with two more stops—two more than the Xiaomi 13 Ultra offers—and with Leica camera tweaks.
