Tamil cinema has a quiet blockbuster on its hands. While big-budget films struggle, With Love — a low-budget rom-com starring newcomers Abishan Jeevinth and Anaswara Rajan — continues its dream run, collecting a rock-solid ₹1.25 crore on its second Monday (Day 11). For a film made on a shoestring budget, this kind of weekday holding power is rare, impressive, and proof that good content still wins.

Why This Matters: A Case Study in Smart Filmmaking
It recovered its budget in 3 days. By Sunday of its opening weekend, With Love had already crossed ₹7 crore — nearly double its production cost. In an industry where even star-driven films struggle to break even, this is a masterclass in cost-efficient storytelling.
It’s holding better than most mid-budget films. Weekday drops are brutal in Indian cinema, but With Love has maintained momentum through word-of-mouth. The ₹1.25 crore collection on second Monday shows the film still has legs, with family audiences driving repeat viewings.
Netflix bought it pre-release. The streaming giant secured digital rights before theatrical release, adding a guaranteed revenue stream. The film is set to premiere on Netflix in March 2026 after completing its theatrical run.
According to Wikipedia’s entry on box office collection, a film’s ability to sustain weekday collections — especially in its second week — is a critical indicator of long-term profitability and cultural impact. With Love is passing that test with flying colors.

What Makes ‘With Love’ Work?
The film follows Sathya (Abishan Jeevinth) and Monisha (Anaswara Rajan), who meet through a blind date arranged by Sathya’s sister. They discover they went to the same school years ago, sparking nostalgia and a slow-burn romance built on shared memories.
Critics and audiences have praised the film’s breezy first half, relatable flashbacks, and genuine chemistry between the leads. Anaswara Rajan’s infectious energy and Abishan Jeevinth’s grounded performance (impressive for a first-time lead) have been singled out as highlights. Sean Roldan’s music adds emotional weight without overpowering the narrative.
Produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth (yes, Rajinikanth’s daughter), the film is now being hailed as Kollywood’s second successful film of 2026 after Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil.
