Why Every Family Needs a Tulsi: Smriti Irani Opens Up Ahead of the Big Leap

Some TV characters don’t just entertain — they become part of our families. For millions of Indian households, Tulsi Virani has always been that character. As Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 takes a major 10-year leap, Smriti Irani is opening up about why Tulsi’s values still hit home decades later.

Smriti Irani Compliment That Means the Most

Irani revealed that the highest praise she’s received isn’t about ratings or awards — it’s far more personal. Fans often tell her Tulsi reminded them of their own mother, grandmother, or aunt. She believes that’s because every family, no matter how much the world changes, eventually needs someone who chooses healing over division and listening over judgment.

What’s Changed — And What Hasn’t

According to Irani, this next chapter finds Tulsi stepping back into a family reshaped by time — where emotional distances have quietly grown. But her faith in second chances remains unshaken.

Why Tulsi Still Resonates

Part of what’s kept the character iconic for over two decades is her refusal to believe there’s only one way to fix a broken relationship. Every new generation, Irani noted, brings fresh challenges that call for compassion and a genuine willingness to understand — themes that echo the enduring pull of the Indian television soap opera, a genre built on family drama spanning generations.

Irani hopes audiences will see fragments of their own lives reflected in Tulsi’s journey as the new chapter unfolds.
