Who Is Danielle Belluomini? Meet the 49ers Owner’s Estranged Wife

A quiet, camera-shy life just became front-page news. Danielle Belluomini, wife of San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York, has been thrust into the spotlight after a 2026 divorce filing and York’s arrest during a human-trafficking task force operation in Ohio.

Here’s everything confirmed about the woman behind the headlines — and how her story fits into the wider 49ers ownership drama.

From Classroom to Owner’s Box

Long before her name trended, Belluomini was a sixth-grade science teacher at a public school in San Francisco’s Hunters Point neighborhood, later volunteering at a charter school in East Palo Alto. She married York on June 24, 2011, and the pair raised two sons while keeping their family life almost entirely out of public view. Their most visible joint public appearance came at the 2017 NFL Honors in Houston; otherwise her social accounts have stayed private or dormant.

That low profile stood in sharp contrast to York, whose role atop one of the NFL’s most storied franchises — detailed on Jed York’s Wikipedia page — kept him constantly in the public eye.

Danielle Belluomini: Overview

The Divorce Filing

Court records show York petitioned for divorce in Santa Clara County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences and noting a premarital agreement between the couple. The couple’s two minor children are also named as parties in the filing, though the official separation date is still listed as undetermined. Belluomini has since responded, and as of the latest available records, the case remains unresolved.

The Ohio Arrest That Followed

Months after the divorce petition, York was arrested Sunday morning in East Palestine, Ohio, as part of an operation involving local police and the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. Authorities alleged he had arranged to meet a woman at a mobile home community in exchange for a small cash sum, and he was booked on suspicion of engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools before posting bond.

By the next day, prosecutors had reduced the prostitution-related count to misdemeanor disorderly conduct. York pleaded no contest to that charge and to misdemeanor possession of criminal tools, receiving credit for time served along with a $1,150 fine. Seized cash tied to the case was forfeited to the trafficking task force, while his phone was returned.

The 49ers organization confirmed the matter was legally resolved and said no further comment would follow, and the NFL noted the situation would be examined under its personal conduct policy — a process that can proceed independently of the criminal case’s outcome.

Notably, York has longtime ties to the region: he was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, not far from where the arrest took place, before later becoming the 49ers’ president and CEO in 2008, continuing a family legacy that began when his grandfather bought the team in 1977.

There’s no evidence connecting the Ohio case directly to the earlier divorce filing — the two developments simply overlapped, pulling Belluomini’s private life into a news cycle she never sought.
