WhatsApp Embraces Apple’s Liquid Glass
Liquid Glass is Apple’s dynamic, translucent interface style introduced with iOS 26 — adding subtle depth to background layers, buttons, and menus. WhatsApp is now one of the first major third-party apps to fully embrace it, and the difference is immediately noticeable.
The bottom nav bar is the biggest change — semi-transparent, layered, with gentle icon animations on tap. The background content blurs softly behind it, adding visual depth without pulling attention away from your messages. It adapts cleanly between light and dark mode, too.

Is It Live Yet?
Early adopters on the latest build are already seeing the refreshed interface, though the rollout is staggered. Keep WhatsApp updated via the App Store and it should reach you soon.
