Hey cricket fans! Imagine your favorite T20 legends — the same icons who light up stadiums worldwide — now stepping up to change lives off the field. The World Championship of Legends (WCL) has just announced an inspiring partnership with The Art of Living that feels like a perfect six. Ahead of Season 3, they’ve launched Champions for Change, a global initiative to bring clean drinking water to underserved communities. Announced on May 13, 2025, at the Art of Living International Ashram in Bengaluru during Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s 70th birthday, this move shows how cricket can be a real force for good.
Why WCL Initiative Matters?
WCL isn’t just the second most-watched T20 league with over 423 million viewers and 1.2 billion digital impressions — it’s now using that massive platform for impact. Through Champions for Change, advanced water filtration systems will reach remote areas where safe water is still a daily struggle. The Art of Living brings decades of proven expertise, having rejuvenated 70+ rivers and conserved 175 billion litres of water in India alone, while touching over 1 billion lives across 180+ countries.
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar captured it beautifully: “Water is life. When we ensure that everyone has access to clean water, we are not just quenching thirst — we are nurturing dignity, health, hope and harmony.”
This partnership turns cricketing superstars into real-world champions, extending their legacy beyond boundaries.
