Vodafone Idea (Vi) is grappling with the task of retaining its customer base amid the fiercely competitive telecom market. In response to this challenge, the company has introduced a new prepaid recharge plan priced at ₹202, featuring more than 13 OTT subscriptions and additional perks. It’s noteworthy that the plan is currently exclusively available on the mobile app and is not visible on the official website at this time.

Details of Vodafone Idea ₹202 Prepaid Plan

The Vodafone Idea recharge plan at ₹202 does not specify a service validity period. Instead, it aligns its expiration with the conclusion of the existing base plan. For existing customers to avail themselves of the benefits offered by the new plan, they must maintain an active base plan.

The plan grants access to various streaming services, including Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLiv, SunNXT, Yupp TV, Shemaroo Me, Hungama, and Discovery, for a duration of 30 days. Apart from Vodafone Idea Movies and TV Pro subscription access, the plan does not include any additional benefits.

The ₹202 recharge plan is currently visible on the Vi mobile app but is not listed on the official website. It is anticipated that the plan will be added to the official website soon. Reports suggest that Vodafone Idea aims to compete with services like JioTV Premium and Airtel Xstream Play through the introduction of this plan.

According to a September report by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Reliance Jio secured the highest number of new customers in July, closely trailed by Airtel. Conversely, during the same period, both BSNL and Vodafone Idea encountered challenges and experienced customer losses.

As per the report, Reliance Jio maintained its position as the leading wireless service provider in the country with 442.49 million subscribers, followed by Airtel with 244.41 million users. Vodafone Idea recorded 124.27 million users, while BSNL had 20.87 million.
