Vivo has unveiled FunTouch OS 15, built on Android 15, positioning itself as one of the first companies to adopt the latest platform. FunTouch OS has changed over the years, and the 15th version centers around making smartphones faster, smoother, and more convenient to operate, according to Vivo’s description, in line with its strategy to combine the best camera features with an intelligent design, coupled with smart software.

Vivo Launches FunTouch OS 15 with AI Features for Enhanced Photos, Translations, and Smarter Searching

With FunTouch OS 15, users will get a user-friendly interface and various AI-based functionalities that will help save time and avoid using different applications and complex steps. With AI Erase, people can delete unwanted objects or features in their photos with just a tap or swipe. Whether it’s an unwanted person in the background or an obnoxious, inappropriate object, cleaning up pictures has never been so fast and simple.

At the same time, AI LIVE Cutout makes it easy to highlight subjects in a photo by long-pressing them – a great way to create clean cutouts for presentations, project work, or personal creative expression, without having to rely on other editing tools. New Recorder app features that were added include AI Transcript Assist, which automatically transcribes voice recordings into text, and smart summaries. In addition to finding the keywords, users can search for keywords in the recordings, helping them easily pinpoint the meaningful parts to listen to, so users do not need to listen to everything, making it perfect for meetings or interviews.

With AI Screen Translation, users can instantly translate entire screens while reading foreign language articles or browsing international websites. Moreover, AI Call Translation enables real-time translation during phone calls, transcribing and showing translated text to the participants on the fly to make cross-language conversations easier than before.

The AI Photo Enhance option can improve photos that are blurry or too dark. It can sharpen faces, brighten low-light shots, and fill in missing details automatically, making manual edits unnecessary.

Circle to Search allows users to search for information by circling text, objects, or images on their screen, triggering an instant smart search. Meanwhile, AI Live Text lets users capture text from images, documents, or flyers and copy it directly into notes, messages, or emails, streamlining the process of extracting and sharing information.

AI Note Assist automatically organizes unstructured notes, summarizing key points, extracting to-do lists, and even translating notes. This tool is perfect for turning rough drafts into organized documents quickly. It’s important to note that some of these features will be available only on select models, with availability varying by device and region.
