vivo S2 Launched in India: Price, Specs, S Series Returns

vivo just revived a nameplate fans have been waiting for. The S Series is officially back in India with the vivo S2, a premium mid-ranger built around a curved AMOLED display, a massive 7,050mAh battery and IP69 durability — aimed squarely at buyers chasing flagship-like polish without flagship pricing.

vivo S2: Design That Wants to Be Noticed

The S2 ships in three finishes — Silk White, Sapphire Blue and Regal Bronze — each using distinct metallic and textured effects. At just 7.99mm thin and 197g, it pairs an elevated camera module with a 6.83-inch 3D curved AMOLED panel offering 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness.

That kind of display spec puts it in direct conversation with other premium mid-range smartphones we’ve been tracking this year in India.

Specs at a Glance

Cameras, Cooling and AI Baked In

vivo is clearly targeting content creators here: the S2 supports 4K recording on both cameras plus a Dual View mode for simultaneous front-and-rear filming. AI Erase 2.0 handles background distractions automatically, while a 3,810mm² vapor chamber keeps thermals in check during extended use.

On the software side, OriginOS 6 brings Google Gemini integration, Circle to Search, and an AI Smart Call Assistant — features you can compare against rivals in our Android and OriginOS coverage.
