What Mollica Said About Tommy’s Sexuality?
Mollica said he isn’t sure whether Tommy’s sexuality will be referenced explicitly in the series. As a bisexual actor himself, he hopes it comes through naturally in the character’s personality and sense of self, and that it can be explored in the future. In the comics, Tommy has relationships with both men and women, including David Alleyne (Prodigy) and Lisa Molinari (Coat of Arms). What It Could Mean for the MCU?
Tommy and Billy are both expected to matter to a future Young Avengers team, which Ms. Marvel hinted at in The Marvels. The Direct notes that if Marvel moves ahead with a Young Avengers project, it might be the best place to explore Tommy’s relationships more fully, including Prodigy. That’s speculation for now. The MCU has already echoed some of Mollica’s real-life traits, such as his ethnicity, in the character, which makes a closer alignment possible.
VisionQuest is billed as the culmination of the WandaVision trilogy and follows Bettany’s Vision on a journey of self-discovery.
