Release date shuffles are nothing new in Tollywood, but when a much-awaited family entertainer is involved, fans want clarity fast. Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 (AK47), starring Venkatesh Daggubati, might be doing exactly that — quietly moving away from its original date.

Is AK47 Skipping Its October 2 Release?

According to a report by Gulte, the film was originally set to release on October 2, 2026, but may now be pushed to October 9, with October 16 also under consideration as a backup date. Importantly, the makers haven’t issued any official confirmation yet — this is purely trade speculation for now.

What the Film Is About

The story follows Venkatesh as Chittibabu, introduced in the teaser as a husband house-hunting with his wife — playfully positioned as the “ideal man of the home.” The ensemble cast includes Nara Rohith, Nivetha Pethuraj, Rao Ramesh, Satya, Brahmaji, and Vennela Kishore, with cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran and editing by Sreekar Prasad. The film is produced by S. Radha Krishna under the Haarika & Hassine Creations banner.

Trivikram Srinivas, known for blending family drama with humor, continues a storytelling style that’s long been a signature of Telugu cinema‘s commercial entertainers.

What’s Next for Venkatesh Daggubati

Venkatesh was last seen in Sankranthiki Vasthunam, now streaming on ZEE5. After AK47, he’ll star opposite Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in January 12 Vidudala, directed by Anil Ravipudi and releasing on Sankranti, January 12, 2027, with Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty in lead roles.
