Just when fans had circled October 2 on their calendars, Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 – AK47 has pushed its release by a week — and the makers are promising it’s worth the wait.

Venkatesh Daggubati’s upcoming action comedy, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, will now hit theaters on October 9, 2026, instead of its originally planned October 2 date. The makers confirmed the shift on social media, promising “BLOCKBUSTER ENTERTAINMENT” to make up for the delay.

What’s AK47 Film About?

The teaser introduces Venkatesh as Chittibabu, a husband house-hunting with his wife — with plenty of comic moments as she inspects the place and he plays the picture of the “ideal man of the house.” It’s a premise built around everyday domestic humor rather than high-octane spectacle, despite the “action comedy” tag.

AK47: Cast & Crew Snapshot

Female Lead	Srinidhi Shetty

The supporting cast is stacked too — Nara Rohith, Nivetha Pethuraj, Yuvina, Raj Prajwal, Rao Ramesh, Satya, Brahmaji, Udaybir Sandhu, and Vennela Kishore all feature in key roles, hinting at the kind of ensemble comedy Trivikram is known for delivering.

Why the Delay?

The article doesn’t specify an exact reason for the shift, but a week’s postponement close to release is common in the Telugu film industry — often tied to marketing timelines, print/censor logistics, or trying to avoid a box-office clash with another big release.

Venkatesh’s Packed Slate

AK47 arrives right after Venkatesh’s last outing, Sankranthiki Vasthunam — an action comedy directed by Anil Ravipudi where he played a former officer pulled back into a high-stakes situation by his ex-girlfriend.

Looking further ahead, Venkatesh reunites with Ravipudi for January 12 Vidudala, co-starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Keerthy Suresh, and Krithi Shetty — timed for a Sankranti 2027 release.

Conclusion

With Trivikram Srinivas at the helm — a director known for family-friendly, dialogue-driven entertainers — AK47 is positioning itself as a wholesome festive-season watch rather than a mass action spectacle. The extra week may simply be the makers ensuring the film lands with maximum promotional push intact.
