The Story: A Girl, a Purge and a Kill List

The film follows Baek Yi Hwa, who loses everything during the Gyeyu Purge. She sets out on a path of revenge against Han Myeong Hoe, the supreme power of the Joseon Dynasty, who seized control through bloodshed. The title refers to a “kill list” that Han Myeong Hoe drew up to eliminate his political rivals. It’s dark, tense material that should suit the film’s gritty tone.

The Main Trio

Jung Woo Sung takes the central role of Han Myeong Hoe in what’s described as an unconventional transformation. Jung Sung Il plays Ban Seok, who plots revenge alongside the secret organization Hwajeopmong because of a deep grudge.
