Here are the details of the new and unreleased map from Season 1 of Battlefield 2042

The rocky launch of Battlefield 2042 is behind us, and all of the patches for 2021 have been released, but the question remains: when will we start getting post-launch content? DICE, the creators of Battlefield, have promised to reveal more in early 2022, but it appears that Season 1 will take longer than expected.

Temporary, a data miner, has dug through Battlefield 2042’s code and discovered three months’ worth of pre-season weekly missions (12 in total). Season 1 of Battlefield 2042 won’t start until at least early March, assuming all of these are used. It’s been a long wait, considering that most live service games these days start their seasonal updates almost immediately.

The #Battlefield2042 client includes weekly missions for 12 preseason weeks.

🗓️ Season 1 seems to be scheduled for March 2022 (unless they've added a few weeks as "backup").

🇨🇦 "Exposure" is probably the final name for the previously datamined "Ridge" map.

New Map: Exposure

  • US – Seismic activity in British Columbia has damaged a Canadian-US research facility base. A Landslide has exposed the interior and damaged the surrounding area. The Russians wrongly allege that this has revealed a military weapon and are deploying forces to Canadian soil to secure it.
  • Russia – A landslide in the Canadian Rockies granted us a view of the Black Ridge facility. And what we see is a direct threat – a weapon that cannot be allowed to operate. Today’s mission is urgent. You will travel to the base along with our allies, then secure all sectors on-site.
  • Dataminr’s has also supposedly unearthed some details on Battlefield 2042’s new Season 1 map, dubbed “Exposure,” which will be set on Canada’s Pacific coast.

This is tragic, I mean of course, Unless someone gently asked, Canada would never store experimental weapons on its land. Of course, take this with a grain of salt for the time being, but considering Battlefield 2042’s shaky start, a Season 1 delay appears to be a certain conclusion.
