The 5 Most Effective Ways to Farm Star Pieces

1. Gacha Duplicates Strategy

When you go to Scout new trainees to try your luck with its gacha mechanics, you will often end up pulling the same character multiple times. This method provides the most consistent Star Pieces, especially during rate-up events.

Pro Tips:

Save Scout Tickets for featured banners
Focus on characters you actively use
Convert duplicate Statues immediately in the Shop

2. Legend Races Champion Method

If you go to the Events tab, you will see the option to participate in various Legend races. These are limited-time events where you will face off against a specific character. Victory rewards specific character Star Pieces, making this method highly targeted.

Optimization Strategy:

Use fully-upgraded Umamusumes for better win rates
There’s also a bonus for the first victory (1st place) during a Legend race event
Prioritize races for characters you’re currently developing

3. Daily Shop Deals

Star Pieces in Uma Musume: Pretty Derby can appear as Daily Deals in the Shop, which open after completing three non-Career races. This method requires minimal investment but offers steady progress.

Daily Routine:

Complete 3 non-Career races each day
Check Shop for Star Piece deals
Maximum of 3 deals per day available

4. Friend Points Exchange

If you play Team Trials, you can earn Friend Points after winning matches. You can then trade them in the Shop for Star Points. Social gameplay becomes profitable through strategic friend interactions.

Friend Point Farming:

Participate in Team Trials regularly
Lend Veterans and Supporters to other players
Accept Legacy borrows from friends

5. Club Points System

You can also trade in Club Points, which you can earn by borrowing Umamusume as Legacies from others in your Club, and vice versa. Active club participation multiplies your Star Piece acquisition rate.

Strategic Usage: Maximizing Star Piece Value

Your Star Pieces investment strategy should prioritize characters based on your current goals. Focus on trainees you use for competitive racing first, then expand to legacy-building characters.

Priority Order:

Main racing team members
Legacy inheritance candidates
Favorite characters for collection
Specialized event trainees
