Tulsa King Episode 9 Quick Guide

What Happened in Episode 8: “Nothing Is Over”

Episode 8 delivered one of the season’s most tension-filled moments when Dwight discovered Deacon’s devastating betrayal. The Watchmaker Deacon approached Jeremiah at his estate wishing to work with him instead, believing the General was untrustworthy. While Margaret attended Carl Thresher’s campaign fundraiser, Deacon disguised himself as a handyman and planted a bomb at the hotel.

Dwight pressed Agent Musso and finally learned about his past with Deacon, discovering that Deacon killed Musso’s partner and 20 civilians, explaining why Musso wanted to bring him to justice. The episode ended with Dwight racing against time to stop the bombing plot, capturing Deacon and solidifying his control—but at what cost?

Samuel L. Jackson Enters the Game

Episode 9 will feature Samuel L. Jackson’s Russell Lee Washington Jr., with the preview showing Russell arriving at a bar to meet Dwight Manfredi, calling him a ‘ghost’ from his past. Jackson’s character represents a major turning point for the series, as he’ll be sent to kill his old friend but instead takes an instant liking to Dwight’s power and empire.

This penultimate episode establishes Jackson as the protagonist of the upcoming spin-off series NOLA King, which will follow Russell’s own criminal exploits in New Orleans. The multi-episode story arc introduces viewers to this fascinating character before his solo venture begins.

What to Expect in “Dead Weight”

Episode 9 will explore the explosive aftermath of Deacon’s bomb plot while Dwight’s war against the Dunmire family reaches its boiling point. His double-cross arrangement with Agent Musso will likely face its biggest test yet, forcing the General to make impossible choices between loyalty, survival, and justice.
