What’s the Story Behind Tron: Ares?

The third installment plunges into a high-stakes race between tech giants ENCOM and Dillinger Systems. Both corporations are desperate to digitize programs into reality by solving the 29-minute decay problem using Kevin Flynn’s legendary permanence code.

Enter Ares—an advanced AI super-soldier unleashed by Dillinger to steal the code. But here’s the twist: Ares gains self-awareness and begins questioning his purpose. When ENCOM successfully manifests a stable digital orange tree, Ares makes a shocking choice: he sides with humanity. This decision triggers an explosive conflict over freedom, consciousness, and whether the code should create life or become a weapon.
