Won-kyu’s Long-Awaited Apology

In one of the episode’s most touching moments, Won-kyu addressed the harsh criticism he directed at Ji-hyun during their relationship. He admitted that he wrongly blamed her for not being ambitious enough, which ultimately pushed them apart rather than encouraging growth.

“I now understand why I had no choice but to act that way back then,” Won-kyu confessed, acknowledging his mistakes. His genuine apology marked a turning point, showing that accountability can heal even deep emotional wounds. Ji-hyun has consistently expressed how his critical words damaged her self-worth, making this moment particularly significant for both parties.

Min-kyung Confronts Yoo-sik on Marriage

The most heart-wrenching storyline featured Min-kyung confronting Yoo-sik about his reluctance to commit to marriage despite their nine-year relationship. Yoo-sik explained he isn’t willing to commit to marriage due to uncertainties, leaving Min-kyung devastated.

What deepened her pain was seeing him wearing a couple’s ring with Hyun-ji—someone he met just two weeks prior—after refusing similar gestures throughout their long relationship. Min-kyung expressed feeling ashamed and poorly treated throughout the show, highlighting how Yoo-sik’s new romantic interest receives the version of him she once desperately wanted.
