Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups brings together one of the most stacked ensembles in pan-Indian cinema history:

Kiara Advani, notably making her Kannada film debut, has received rave praise from director Geetu Mohandas who called her performance “nothing short of transformative.” Yash plays a dual role — introducing audiences to his character Raya, a cold, ruthless force set against the backdrop of a Goa drug cartel.

What Is Toxic About?

Set in a bygone era across the 1940s to 1970s, Toxic is a period gangster saga unfolding in the sun-soaked but sinister coastal world of Goa, where a powerful drug cartel pulls strings beneath the surface of paradise. The film was shot on an extraordinary 20-acre period set near Bengaluru, recreating the era in stunning detail with over 1,000 crew members and 450 actors.

The official teaser — released on February 20, 2026 — immediately went viral, generating intense fan speculation, frame-by-frame breakdowns, and a universe of characters that clearly signals Toxic is far more ambitious in scope than even KGF.

First Single ‘Tabaahi’ — Passion, Desire & Kiara

The first song from Toxic — titled ‘Tabaahi’ — reportedly captures the raw chemistry between Yash’s character and Kiara Advani’s Nadia, described as dripping with passion and desire. Industry buzz pointed to February 28, 2026 as the release date for the track, composed under Ravi Basrur’s direction. The multi-composer album featuring Vishal Mishra (4 songs), Tanishk Bagchi, and Ravi Basrur is shaping up to be one of 2026’s biggest soundtracks.
