Tony Todd’s Astonishing Candyman Earnings Revealed; From Bees to Riches

When capturing intense scenes, there is frequently a potential for danger to be involved. This fact became apparent in 1992 when a critical decision arose – whether to agree to receive $1,000 in return for willingly allowing a bee to sting you.

According to Sensacine, actor Tony Todd willingly accepted this arrangement while filming ‘Candyman.’

The film’s director, Bernard Rose, found it essential for Tony Todd’s character to engage with a swarm of bees, an idea that was adapted from Clive Barker’s novel.

In the story, ‘Candyman’ is depicted as a ghost with a hook, appearing only when someone says his name five times in front of a mirror and gets stung by a bee. As a result, real bees were used in the 1992 production.

According to reports from the media outlet, Tony Todd successfully negotiated a deal in which he would earn an extra $1,000 for every bee sting he endured. This arrangement resulted in a total bonus of $23,000 since there were 23 stings in total.
