All 9 K-Drama Couples

1. Son Ye Jin & Hyun Bin — The Gold Standard

The duo first appeared together in the spy thriller The Negotiation before reuniting for Crash Landing on You, the beloved cross-border romance that took the world by storm. Sparks flew — and they were clearly real. The couple confirmed their relationship in January 2021, married in March 2022, and welcomed their son Kim Woo Jin later that year. Of all the couples on this list, they are arguably the most beloved — and the most envied.

2. Jisung & Lee Bo Young — Quietly Enduring

One of the lesser-talked-about but most solid couples in K-drama history. Jisung and Lee Bo Young first met on the set of Save Last Dance for Me back in 2004, and their quiet, steady romance spanned nearly a decade before they married in September 2013. They now have two children and remain one of the industry’s most low-key, genuinely happy couples.

3. Song Joong Ki & Song Hye Kyo — The Rise and Fall

The Song-Song couple was once K-drama royalty. Meeting on Descendants of the Sun, their romance felt like a real-life extension of the show’s grand love story. They married on October 31, 2017, to enormous public celebration. Less than two years later, Song Joong Ki filed for divorce in June 2019, citing irreconcilable differences. It remains one of the most talked-about splits in Korean entertainment history.

4. Lee Do Hyun & Lim Ji Yeon — Born from the Darkness of The Glory

You wouldn’t expect the dark, revenge-driven world of The Glory to be a romantic backdrop — but here we are. The duo confirmed their relationship in April 2023 and have maintained a quiet, supportive partnership ever since, including through Lee Do Hyun’s mandatory military service.

5. Ryu Jun Yeol & Lee Hyeri — Reply 1988’s Real-Life Twist

Ironically, they weren’t even each other’s love interests on Reply 1988 — but real chemistry doesn’t follow scripts. After seven to eight years together as a couple, their very public separation became a media spectacle, especially with the involvement of actress Han So Hee. Both parties have stayed tight-lipped since.

6. Nam Joo Hyuk & Lee Sung Kyung — A Visual Pair That Didn’t Last

Both signed under YG Entertainment, Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung were already close friends when their romance blossomed during Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo in early 2017. They confirmed dating in April 2017, but called it quits by August of the same year due to conflicting schedules. Short-lived — but memorable.

7. Ahn Jae Hyun & Goo Hye Sun — The Messy Ending

The Blood co-stars confirmed their relationship in March 2016 and married just two months later in May 2016 in a whirlwind romance. They even starred together in a reality show about their relationship. By 2020, the marriage had ended in a very public, deeply messy divorce that played out in front of their entire fanbases.

8. Shin Min Ah & Kim Woo Bin — A Love Story for the Ages

These two didn’t even meet on a drama set — it was an advertising shoot. But what followed was one of the most touching love stories in Korean entertainment. Shin Min Ah stood firmly by Kim Woo Bin’s side through his nasopharyngeal cancer diagnosis and recovery, and their bond only deepened. After a decade of dating, they finally married on December 20, 2025 — a moment fans had been waiting years to celebrate.

Korean drama, known globally as K-drama, has increasingly become a cultural export that transcends language barriers — and the real-life love stories it inspires are a big part of why fans around the world stay so deeply invested.
