The expanded cast signals an ambitious finale that promises to deliver the darker, more complex storylines fans have been anticipating. Here’s everything we know about who’s joining Geralt’s final adventure.

The Witcher Season 5 Release & Production Status

Major New Cast Additions Connected to Ciri’s Arc

The majority of new castings revolve around Ciri’s storyline, particularly her harrowing journey through fighting pits and confrontations with dangerous adversaries.

Neil Stuke as Dominik Houvenaghel

Neil Stuke, known for Silk and Game On, is believed to be playing Dominik Houvenaghel, a crime boss and cousin to Leo Bonhart. Following Season 4’s cliffhanger where Bonhart captures Ciri, Season 5 will see him deliver Ciri to his cousin’s fighting pits rather than killing her, figuring the attraction would be more profitable.

Stefan Skellen’s Gang

After Ciri escapes the fighting pits, Stefan Skellen forms his own gang to hunt her down, including:

• Sam Pamphilon (Geek Girl, Malice) as Cyprian Fripp
• Yinka Awoni (I May Destroy You, The Stranger) as Zadarlik

The Iconic Ice Skating Sequence

Book readers will be thrilled to know that Nick Chadwin (Catching Lightning) joins as Gosta, a fisherman who provides directions to Ciri toward Tor Zireael. This location hints at one of the most memorable moments from the novels—a certain ice skating sequence that occurs as Skellen’s gang pursues Ciri toward the tower.

Supporting Cast Additions

Beyond Ciri’s storyline, several intriguing characters join the fold:

• Georgia Goodman (Wednesday, Master of None) as Madam Toulouse, likely a brothel madam in Beauclair
• Fergus Rattigan (Then Barbara Met Alan) as Paddy the Dwarf
• Clive Kneller (Sister Boniface) as High Priest

Previously Announced Cast Members

Earlier casting announcements included Emily-Jo Young (Sexy Beast) as Shani, Liv Andrusier (Les Misérables) as Condwiramurs Tilly, Kate Dickie (Game of Thrones) as Sigrdrifa, Andy Apollo (The Diplomat) as Reynart de Bois-Fresnes, Taylor James (Vikings: Valhalla) as Baron de Trastamara, Adam Basil (The Rings of Power) as Knocker, and Chike Chan as Old Barring.

Additionally, several actors have undisclosed roles: Jamie Michie, Bobby Rainsbury, Adam Trussell, Simon Meacock, Ben Jones, Tega Alexander, Poppy Lee Friar, Una Byrne, Warren James Dunning, Jenny Bolt, and Laurie Duncan.

What This Means for The Witcher’s Finale

The substantial cast expansion suggests Season 5 will adapt the most politically complex and action-packed portions of Andrzej Sapkowski’s saga. The focus on Ciri’s capture and escape storyline indicates the show is staying faithful to the source material’s darker themes.

For fans following Netflix’s fantasy series lineup, The Witcher’s conclusion represents a significant moment in streaming television. The series has become a cornerstone of Netflix’s original content strategy, spawning spin-offs like The Witcher: Blood Origin and the upcoming animated film.
