Geralt of Rivia is getting a glow-up, and the best part? You don’t have to pay a single coin for it. At Gamescom 2026’s Opening Night Live, CD Projekt RED confirmed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered launches on September 29, 2026, alongside a first look at a brand-new expansion. If you already own the base game, this upgrade lands in your library automatically — no purchase, no catch.

What’s New In The Remaster

The update goes far beyond a graphics polish. Combat, movement, Roach riding, monster behaviors, the skill tree, and photo mode are all getting reworked. Expect sharper visuals, new finishing animations, smoother controls, and a more flexible skill tree for building Geralt’s playstyle. A standout addition is the transmog system, letting players restyle armor without losing stat bonuses.
